Obituary For Robert Francis Brillowsky

Robert Francis Brillowsky was born January 4, 1938 in Wyandotte, Michigan to George and Rachel (nee Cruse) Brillowsky. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers John, Mel and Henry.

Bob leaves behind his loving wife Lynda (nee Baggett) of 66 years, daughter Carolyn (William) Fry and son Bobby (Christina) Brillowsky. They have 3 grandsons Logan, Jonah and Jayden. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Lazarz, and several nieces and nephews.

Bob attended Flat Rock High School and was immediately hired upon graduation by Mobil Oil Corporation as a draftsman. Bob would go on to have many positions at the refinery. He became one of two certified inspectors for the state of Washington. Bob retired after 37 years in 1993 as the Field Project Manager for the construction of a new DHT unit at the Ferndale BP refinery.

On August 24, 1957, he married Lynda Baggett. They lived in Flat Rock, Michigan with their two children Carolyn and Bobby. In 1973, the family moved to Ferndale, Washington following the closure of the Trenton Mobil Oil Refinery. Bob and Lynda joined the United Church of Ferndale where they were active members for 50 years.

Bob loved spending time with family and friends, gardening, bowling, photography and golfing. Bob also enjoyed remodeling the family home and helping with church construction projects.

A memorial service is scheduled for July 20th, 2:00 PM at the United Church of Ferndale 2034 Washington St. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the United Church of Ferndale P.O. Box 186 Ferndale, WA 98248.
