Christopher Ferry passed away in Ferndale, WA, on June 10, 2024, at the age of 68, after a brief battle with cancer. A lifelong Seattle sports fan and camping enthusiast, he spent his final days surrounded by loved ones and listening to the Mariners prepare to let us all down again in August.

Chris is survived by his beloved wife and high school sweetheart, Kathleen Ferry; his two sons, Jacob (Kate) and Andrew (Kristina); his granddaughters, Beckett and Camden; his brothers, Steve (Mary), Patrick (Pam), and Tony (Denise); his sister, Susan (Dell); and countless cousins and in-laws.

The great-grandson of George Howard Waters, an early Whatcom County settler and the first postmaster of Point Roberts, Chris was a wealth of information about Bellingham’s older districts as well as the region’s history regarding the fishing industry.

A private celebration of life will be held among close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a cancer research organization like the American Cancer Society or the Cancer Research Institute.
