Carol Lynn McClellan passed away on February 12, 2025, in Bellingham, WA. Carol was born on January 23,1949 to Wally and Betty (Howell) McClellan in Bellingham.

Carol’s dad Wally served in the U.S. Army during WWII and the family resided on Oahu from January 1960 until September 1961. She was the oldest of three children. Carol then attended Bellingham and Sehome high schools and was a part of Sehome’s first graduating class in 1968.

Carol married Earl (Pat) Hickey in 1970 and together they had four children. Carol enjoyed collecting M&Ms and had an impressive collection. She also enjoyed her leisure time, especially at the casino with her mom where they played hoping to hit that big jackpot.

Many may know Carol from Pat’s Place, Dunny’s, Ennens, Ocean Star Seafoods, and most recently, the Yorky’s at Bakerview and Bennett.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Wally and Betty. She is survived by children Alan (Lisa) Hickey, Brad (Candace) Hickey, Cory (Tammy) Hickey, and Tricia (Josh Adams) Hickey, her sister Terry (Mike) Hickey and brother Dale (Debbie) McClellan, twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren (with one more on the way), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Carol will be missed by many.
